About Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a relatively short therapy where the therapist and the client establish a therapeutic alliance in order to jointly find ways to overcome the client's life limiting issues. Insights about their own modes of functioning and experience of the techniques that have proven helpful in overcoming the initial problem can be applied later to other difficult life situations. The CBT is one of the most extensively researched forms of psychotherapy and has been proven useful in improving client's overall quality of life as well as in creating more successful functioning in family, intimate, social and working relationships.
